Job Description

Position Overview The Service Advisor serves as the primary connection between customers and the service department. This role is responsible for understanding customer concerns, accurately documenting repair needs, coordinating with technicians, and ensuring every customer receives clear communication and a positive service experience from drop‑off to vehicle delivery. Key Responsibilities Customer Intake & Consultation — Greet customers, listen to vehicle concerns, gather relevant information, and perform walk‑around inspections when needed. Repair Order Creation — Translate customer concerns into clear, detailed repair orders technicians can follow. Estimate Development — Prepare accurate estimates for labor, parts, and timelines; verify warranty or service contract coverage. Technical Coordination — Communicate with technicians to confirm diagnostics, recommended repairs, and parts needs. Customer Communication — Provide timely updates, explain findings, review estimates, and obtain approvals for additional work. Workflow & Scheduling — Manage daily service schedules, prioritize repairs, and coordinate with parts and service teams. Quality Assurance — Review completed work, ensure repairs meet quality standards, and verify customer concerns were fully addressed. Billing & Delivery — Present final invoices, explain services performed, and facilitate a smooth vehicle pickup experience. Customer Retention & Follow‑Up — Conduct post‑service follow‑ups, recommend maintenance, and support long‑term customer relationships. Required Skills & Qualifications Strong automotive knowledge of maintenance schedules, common repairs, and diagnostic processes Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to translate technical information into clear, customer‑friendly language Solid organizational skills and attention to detail Comfort with sales‑related conversations and presenting recommended services Proficiency with dealership management systems (DMS) and digital communication tools Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple repair orders at once Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in automotive service, customer service, or dealership operations Work Environment Combination of office and shop‑floor interaction Frequent communication with technicians, parts staff, and management Customer‑facing role requiring professionalism and empathy Compensation & Benefits Competitive base pay with performance‑based commission opportunities Health, dental, and vision benefits available after 30 days.
