Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
Receive and pay out money; cash checks; cash in chips; Maintain accurate money count in cash drawer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
When checking in for your shift, always verify the amount turned over to you from the preceding shift. Verify all money in wrappers to assure accuracy. When cashing personal checks always get identification before running check through the check cashing verification system. Make change, cash in chips, and cash in NRT receipts. Always keep your drawer locked to maintain the integrity of the money for which you are responsible - any discrepancies at the end of the shift are the responsibility of the cashier Perform any other duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to read, analyze and interpret common documentation. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests, regulatory agencies or members of the staff. Ability to write and present information to management in a reasonable manner. Ability to perform normal mathematical computations in regard to the implementation of current duties. Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several variables.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience as cage cashier, cashier in retail or banking or other money handling experience.

Office/Casino environment; Must be able to tolerate casino related environmental factors including but not limited to second hand smoke, excessive noise levels and stress related to serving customers in a high pressure fast paced environment.
