Job Description
Taylor Sudden Service provides exclusive worldwide distribution of genuine Taylor OEM parts and forklift service for equipment designed, manufactured, and marketed by Taylor Machine Works, Inc. Backed by a network of parts and service centers, nationwide dealer support organizations, and factory-trained service technicians, SSI is committed to providing the best parts and service support in the industry. We offer training schools for our service technicians on a regular basis, ensuring the best possible service to Taylor Machine Works' customers. Sudden Service, INC (SSI) is a subsidiary of the Taylor Group of Companies, a third-generation family-owned business based in Louisville, MS since 1927.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Provides Technical Assistance to SSI technicians, Customers, and Taylor dealers on all Power Products both in-house as well as in-person at remote customer and SSI locations. Maintains log and prepares daily call reports. Assesses training needs based on the technical assistance calls he receives and makes recommendations to his manager. Travel to customer sites and provide special in person hands-on and classroom training. Research, document, and report on ongoing service-related issues as directed. Collaborate with other Power Product Support team members to find solutions for ongoing technical issues. Be available for other special projects as needed.Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Tact, courtesy, and complete integrity are a must in dealing with the customer base. Computer skills are essential, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as diagnostic softwareEducation and Experience:
Five (5) years' experience as a field service technician, preferably on industrial generators. Certificate of Completion of studies in mechanical and/or related fields may substitute for two years of field experience.Benefits:
