Role:
As the front line of support, the Member Service Representative II (MSR II) is integral in establishing and maintaining member relationships by ensuring members are satisfied with products, services, and features. This role assists members and potential members with their financial needs by listening, connecting and recommending products and services. The MSR II assists with financial transactions, involving payments and receiving cash and other negotiable instruments; opens new accounts; closes accounts; and resolves problems, all while maintaining a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude that communicates to members, staff and visitors that the credit union is a friendly and professional financial institution.
Experience:
Direct cash-handling experience in previous positions with equal responsibilities is acceptable. One to two years experience in a related field with equal responsibilities is acceptable. Formal training should be supplemented with continuing education.
Education:
A high school education or GED. Job requires a high school level of language, math and reasoning skills.
Work Environment:
The job is scheduled during normal credit union business hours. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday, ranging from 7:45 am to 6:00 pm. Requires the ability to work flexible hours. Ability to handle fast-paced area. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Work creates normal fatigue daily. Work creates moderate stress during certain periods during daily routine. Job does not have specific volume and pace of work standards except that the job requires that members be served in the timeliest manner possible. Job requires extensive member contact on a continual basis. EOE.
