Service Writer & Parts Specialist Carolina Conduit Systems - 3.3 Garner, NC Job Details 1 day ago Qualifications Computer operation Communication with suppliers Driver's License Cross-functional communication Quality data entry Office record organization Full Job Description Service Writer & Parts Specialist Position Summary Carolina Conduit Systems is looking for a Service Writer & Parts Specialist to support daily operations at our Garner Fleet Shop. This position is responsible for maintaining service work orders, coordinating parts, tracking inventory, and communicating with shop personnel and vendors. The ideal candidate should be organized, detail-oriented, comfortable using a computer, and able to work in a fast-paced shop environment. Responsibilities Create, update, and close maintenance work orders in the fleet system. Enter repair information, parts, labor, invoices, and other charges accurately. Gather repair and completion information from mechanics and foremen. Monitor open work orders and follow up on missing information. Check inventory and source parts as needed. Obtain quotes and compare pricing, availability, and delivery. Prepare purchase requests and follow up with vendors. Pick up, receive, label, and distribute parts. Track parts and supplies issued to vehicles, equipment, and work orders. Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation. Maintain accurate records of work orders, parts, receipts, and purchase requests. Communicate daily with the Fleet Systems & Asset Control Supervisor. Coordinate with shop foremen and mechanics regarding repairs and parts. Report discrepancies, delays, or other issues as they arise. Requirements Valid driver's license required. Basic computer skills required. Strong organizational and record-keeping skills. Ability to accurately enter and maintain information. Inventory, fleet, parts, or work-order software experience preferred. Experience with Fleetio and/or Geotab is a plus. Ability to communicate effectively with mechanics, foremen, vendors, and supervisors. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Garner Fleet Shop Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-5:00 PM; occasional Saturdays may be required
