Job Overview We're looking for a Licensed Medicare Agent who takes pride in helping people understand their healthcare coverage and feel confident about their insurance decisions. You'll manage your own book of business, build lasting relationships with clients, and work alongside a small, supportive team that values collaboration over competition. Duties Serve as a trusted advisor for Medicare beneficiaries—helping them understand Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D, Medicare Supplement plans, and related coverage options. Listen carefully to clients' healthcare and financial needs and recommend personalized coverage solutions that truly fit their situation. Conduct Medicare reviews and enrollment consultations while ensuring compliance with all CMS regulations and carrier requirements. Explain plan benefits, provider networks, prescription drug coverage, and costs in clear, easy-to-understand language. Assist clients with enrollment applications, policy changes, billing questions, and coverage concerns. Advocate for clients by helping them navigate carrier issues and understand their healthcare coverage options. Proactively review clients' coverage to identify opportunities for improved benefits, lower costs, or changing healthcare needs. Maintain detailed client records and ensure all documentation is accurate, compliant, and up to date. Build lasting relationships through consistent, friendly communication—by phone, email, and in person.
Requirements / Qualifications
Active North Carolina Health Insurance license (required). Medicare certification and experience with Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, and Part D plans (preferred but not required). Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. A genuine desire to serve others with integrity. Comfortable using technology to manage client accounts and communicate effectively.
