Cashier/Customer Service

Duties Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process transactions swiftly and efficiently Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and assist with product inquiries to enhance their shopping experience Handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and perform cash handling procedures with precision Upsell products and suggest additional items during checkout to increase sales opportunities Maintain clean and organized checkout areas, including stocking shelves and merchandising products for easy access Conduct product demos when applicable to engage customers and promote new or featured items Provide friendly phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or scheduling appointments Skills Proven experience with POS systems and cashiering responsibilities in a retail or grocery store environment Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings and customer interactions Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and retail math calculations Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers; bilingual skills are highly valued Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and product placement techniques to optimize sales displays Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and problem-solving mindset Familiarity with grocery store operations, upselling techniques, and sales strategies to boost revenue Embark on a rewarding career where your proactive approach makes a difference!
