Cashier/Customer Service

Responsibilities Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process transactions swiftly and securely Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and provide product information or demonstrations when needed Manage cash handling procedures with precision, including giving correct change and balancing registers at shift end Assist with merchandising tasks such as stocking shelves, organizing displays, and maintaining store cleanliness Upsell products and promote store promotions to enhance sales opportunities Maintain excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting remote customers Support inventory management by participating in stock counts and product replenishment activities Requirements Previous cashiering experience or familiarity with POS systems preferred Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve a broader customer base Experience in supervising or leading team members is advantageous but not required Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and retail math calculations Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail sales environments is beneficial Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service skills, including active listening and problem-solving Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail setting with physical stamina for stocking and merchandising tasks
