Job Description

Position Purpose To serve as the first contact with the Health Service for students and visitors by responding to questions and inquiries on a broad range of clinical and administrative issues by telephone or in person. Required Qualifications Associate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Competency with standard computer applications, including e-mail. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in a health care setting preferred. Prior experience with computerized appointment system preferred. Additional Instructions Key Accountabilities Key Accountabilities Appointment Office:
Monitors daily electronic scheduling system and schedules appointments via phone, email and walk-ins for a busy outpatient clinic. (50%)
Medical Records:
Acts as a customer service representative and assists in annual pre-arrival project with duties as assigned by MR/R supervisor, including data entry in the EMR, assisting with releases of information following HIPAA confidentiality policies, scans protected health information to the medical records system, receives cash and credit card payments for payable services. (50%) - Demonstrates professionalism and collegiality through actions, interactions, and communications with others appropriate to an environment that is welcoming to all. - Performs other duties as assigned.
