Job Description
Overview We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier/Customer Service Associate to join our retail team. This role is vital in providing exceptional service to our customers while ensuring smooth store operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Experience with POS systems, retail sales, and cashiering is preferred, along with the ability to assist customers with product demos and upselling opportunities. Bilingual skills are a plus to better serve our diverse clientele. Duties Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling and transactions Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service Assist customers with product inquiries, demos, and upselling to enhance sales Maintain merchandising displays and ensure products are well-stocked and organized Manage stock levels by stocking shelves and organizing inventory Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally and courteously Promote store promotions, sales, and loyalty programs effectively Maintain cleanliness of the checkout area and ensure a welcoming environment Follow phone etiquette standards when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries Support team members in achieving sales goals through effective communication and teamwork Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math skills Strong communication skills, including clear phone etiquette Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for transactions and inventory management Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve a diverse customer base Supervising experience is a plus for leadership opportunities within the team Ability to stand for extended periods and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Friendly demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills Experience in grocery stores or similar retail environments is advantageous Join our team to deliver outstanding customer experiences while developing valuable retail skills in a dynamic environment.
