Position Overview We are looking for an organized, customer-focused Service Writer / Service Advisor to join our team. As the primary point of contact between our customers and repair technicians, you will play a key role in keeping our shop running smoothly. If you are a great communicator with strong organizational skills and a drive to help people, we want to talk to you! Previous dealership or automotive service experience is a plus, but not strictly required —we are willing to train the right person with the right attitude and customer service skills. Key Responsibilities Greet customers warmly, listen carefully to their vehicle concerns, and create detailed service repair orders. Act as the liaison between customers and service technicians, clearly explaining diagnostic results, necessary repairs, and maintenance recommendations. Provide accurate cost estimates and routine updates on vehicle status throughout the repair process. Schedule service appointments and manage workflow to maintain shop efficiency. Review completed repair orders with customers and process payments accurately. Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and build repeat business.
Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
Previous automotive service experience is helpful, but not required . Strong background in retail, customer service, or administrative roles transfers well!
Strong Communication:
Ability to explain technical vehicle concepts in plain, clear language to customers.
Organized & Multi-tasker:
Highly detail-oriented with the ability to handle phone calls, walk-in customers, and paperwork simultaneously.
Driven & Dependable:
Excellent work ethic, problem-solving mindset, and positive attitude.
Computer Skills:
Basic computer proficiency for handling repair order software and scheduling systems.
Valid Driver's License:
Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
