Job Description

Peterbilt Truck Parts & Equipment is proud to be the only full service Peterbilt Motors Company dealership operating in Northern Nevada. Located in Sparks, NV, and serving our community since 1943, we provide new and used truck sales, parts, service, rental and leasing. We are looking to hire a reliable and talented person to join our team as a Service Advisor. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, have excellent communication skills, possess strong organizational skills, be self-motivated, and dependable. This person must also be comfortable working on multiple projects at once; enjoy challenging tasks and be able to handle changing priorities. Job duties include but are not limited to: Interact with customers, walk-in and by phone Answer customer questions about service outcomes and consult with technicians when necessary Establish the customer's method of payment. Obtain insurance information, contact information, and customer deductibles if applicable. Obtain credit approval, if necessary. For insurance work, communicate work supplements to customers and insurance adjusters and secure approval for additional work upon discovery. Inform customers of changes in service or when their vehicle is ready to be picked up Determine repairs needed, schedule repair, and open repair order Ensure compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy procedures Meet the physical demands of the position (walking, climbing, lifting, standing) Maintain customer goodwill by greeting and acknowledging all customers Be flexible to new responsibilities and assignments Prior Service Advisor experience preferred Experience in the heavy duty truck industry preferred Strong problem-solving, organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously Excellent communication (written/verbal) and interpersonal skills Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office suite and ability to learn dealership software Detail-oriented to ensure accuracy in documentation and data entry Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Ability to attend training and meetings (on-site/off-site) Ability to be a team player with a high level of dependability and dedication Valid driver's license Job Details Full-time Monday
