We're currently seeking a Service Writers/ Parts Specialist who will play a key role in supporting our operations through smart procurement, efficient inventory management, and accurate asset tracking.
Key Responsibilities:
Parts Management Issue and track purchase orders Verify requisitions and ensure policy compliance Maintain vendor relationships for on-time deliveries Apply part costs to work orders and provide cost analysis Asset Tracking Track asset performance, including downtime, service, and damage Maintain accurate asset data using management software Provide performance reports to leadership Maintenance Coordination Process work orders and obtain approvals Following up on work order completion by communicating with corresponding technicians and gathering information to input into the software work order. Track labor hours and support preventive maintenance schedules Monitor open maintenance tasks for completion Inventory Oversight Monitor and maintain appropriate stock levels Coordinate procurement planning with the Asset Director Ensure accurate inventory records and organized storage Reporting & Documentation Maintain procurement records (invoices, receipts, etc.) Generate reports on cost savings and vendor performance Support audits with complete documentation Policy & Systems Management Ensure procurement policy compliance Promote sustainable sourcing Use ERP software (Microsoft Dynamics 365) to manage workflows Cross-Functional Collaboration Coordinate with finance on payment timelines and budgeting Work with departments to understand purchasing needs Serve as primary point of contact for procurement inquiries Cost Control Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality Monitor market trends to optimize purchase timing
Qualifications:
Proficient in ERP (Microsoft Dynamics 365), CMMS, and Excel Strong vendor management and negotiation skills Detail-oriented with excellent communication and multitasking ability Analytical thinker with a proactive problem-solving approach
Schedule:
