Experience:

Customer Service Representative Overview:
The Customer Service Representative is responsible for managing customer orders, providing product support, and ensuring a high level of service throughout the order lifecycle. This role works closely with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to fulfill orders, maintain inventory levels, and resolve issues efficiently. The position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to support both routine and complex customer needs.
Job Duties:
  • Process customer orders via telephone, email, fax, electronic systems, or walk-in (counter sales)
  • Respond to customer inquiries, provide product information, generate quotes, and manage order entry
  • Negotiate pricing within established guidelines to support profitability and customer satisfaction
  • Adjust non-contract pricing based on market conditions while maximizing gross profit
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to drive repeat business
  • Source products from branch inventory, distribution centers, or suppliers
  • Monitor inventory levels and place orders to ensure product availability
  • Expedite backorders and coordinate timely fulfillment of customer orders
  • Prepare and process shipments, including pulling inventory when required
  • Determine cost-effective shipping methods to meet customer needs
  • Handle customer returns and resolve related issues
  • Support specific customer accounts as needed
  • Assist junior customer service representatives with issue resolution and product sourcing
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance customer experience and efficiency
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
