They greet and consult customers on service needs, perform a thorough vehicle walk around inspection as part of the write-up, sell and up sell services by emphasizing value, keep customers updated on services, field all live service calls, and take ownership of the customers experience by carrying out those additional assignments that allow the repair shop to leave an impressionable experience with the customer. We offer on-going sales training with a great benefit package. Rockland Nissan is seeking a motivated, customer-focused Service Advisor to join our growing service team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values clear communication, and understands the balance between exceptional customer service and effective shop productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers promptly and professionally, creating a welcoming service experience from start to finish Schedule service appointments and accurately receive vehicle and customer information Listen carefully to customer concerns and clearly document requested services on the repair order Explain recommended services and repairs in a clear, honest, and easy-to-understand manner Accurately estimate repair costs and completion times while considering the customer's schedule and needs Maintain an effective labor rate while ensuring transparency and trust with customers Handle customer questions and complaints with professionalism, maintaining high customer satisfaction standards Monitor vehicle progress during service and proactively update customers, especially when additional issues are discovered Determine the skill level required for each repair order and dispatch work to the appropriate technician Process payments and close repair orders while maintaining a positive and professional image of the service department Assist service management with inventory control, including ordering parts and materials as needed Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay current with new technology, procedures, and evolving market trends
Qualifications:
