The ideal candidate is exceptionally well-organized with writing and proofreading skills and understands the importance of tight deadlines. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and acutely attentive to detail. Must work well in a team environment and be able to multi-task. Essential Functions of the Position Provide excellent customer service while serving on a rotating basis to receive incoming calls and chatline requests and respond appropriately. High volume of proofreading of professional resources. Draft insurance industry-related articles, resource materials, and other business-related communications. Maintain and update resource databases as assigned. Review trade publications for pertinent information to include in member resources. Maintain a working knowledge of insurance industry issues. Maintain departmental electronic filing system Handle data inputting of member surveys. Job Requirements Knowledge of property/casualty insurance preferable but not required. Maintain strong working skills in Microsoft Word, Access, Outlook, Excel, and other software programs, in addition to excellent typing abilities. Strong proofreading skills with an eye to AP style. Outstanding communication and people skills. Exceptional organizational abilities; must be capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously. A two-year degree or the equivalent experience in the customer service field. Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and colleagues in a professional manner. Being a team player is essential.
