Service BDC Representative/Advisor Assistant Niagara Hyundai - 3.5 Grand Island, NY Job Details Full-time $18 - $20 an hour 3 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off 401(k) matching Qualifications Computer operation High school diploma or GED Driver's License Attention to detail Automotive service Organizational skills POS systems Full Job Description This role is responsible for delivering a friendly, efficient, and professional customer experience while also supporting the Service Advisor with administrative and operational tasks to help the department run smoothly. Customer Service Duties Greet customers promptly and courteously, in person and by phone Answer incoming calls, schedule and confirm service appointments Respond to customer inquiries about service status, pricing, and general questions Check customers in and out for service visits Explain basic service processes, wait times, and shuttle/loaner options Handle customer concerns calmly and escalate complex issues to the Service Advisor or Service Manager as needed Follow up with customers post-service (satisfaction calls, reminders, review requests) Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming service reception area Service Advisor Support Duties Assist the Service Advisor with opening and closing repair orders (ROs) Enter and update customer and vehicle information in the service management system Help prepare estimates and gather approvals from customers for additional work Communicate with the parts and technician teams to relay status updates Assist with pulling vehicle history and warranty information Prepare paperwork and documentation needed for service write-ups and invoicing Support the Service Advisor with multi-point inspection results and recommendation write-ups Help track and communicate estimated completion times to customers Administrative Duties Process payments and generate invoices Maintain accurate customer records and files Assist with inventory of service department supplies as needed Support daily reporting and department recordkeeping Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training a plus Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Basic computer proficiency (scheduling software, POS systems, Microsoft Office) Positive, professional demeanor with a customer-first attitude Ability to work collaboratively with Service Advisors, technicians, and management Must have a valid driver's license Physical Requirements Ability to stand, sit, and move around the service area for extended periods Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs (paperwork, supplies)
