- Herkimer, NY Seasonal Position (Mid-May through October 2026) We are seeking friendly, dependable team members to join our Guest Services team for the 2026 camping season.
This seasonal position runs from mid-May through October and is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people in a fun, fast-paced campground environment. Position Overview As a Guest Services Associate, you will be the first point of contact for our campers, creating a welcoming experience while ensuring smooth daily operations across multiple guest-facing areas of the resort. This position combines responsibilities in the Front Desk, Camp Store, and Activities departments, offering a variety of daily tasks and opportunities to interact with guests throughout their stay. Team members who demonstrate flexibility may also have the opportunity to pick up additional hours by assisting other departments, including covering vacation days and shifts in our Scoops Ice Cream Shop. Responsibilities Check guests in and out efficiently and accurately Upsell campsites, amenities, activities, and resort add-ons Sell merchandise and process transactions in the camp store Assist with scheduled campground activities and events Answer phones and assist guests with questions Handle guest concerns and resolve complaints professionally Follow all KOA brand standards and campground policies Maintain clean and organized front desk, retail, and activity areas Work collaboratively with multiple departments to support resort operations Assist other guest service areas as needed, including the ice cream shop Qualifications Previous guest service, retail, hospitality, or campground experience preferred, but not required. Training provided. Must be 18 or older, due to alcohol sales in camp store Strong communication and customer service skills Comfortable handling transactions and using a POS system Friendly, professional, and positive attitude Ability to multitask in a busy environment Willingness to work in multiple departments Must be able to stand for long periods of time Frequent bending, squatting, lifting, walking, and movement throughout the resort Schedule Seasonal employment: Mid-May through Mid-October Evening shifts required, ending between 8:00 PM
