Job Description

Know the shop. Take care of the customer. Keep the work moving. Don Brown Bus Sales is looking for an experienced Service Writer / Service Advisor to help coordinate our busy bus service operation. We need someone who understands vehicle repair, communicates clearly, and follows through from the first customer call to the final invoice. If you can manage multiple repair orders, work closely with technicians, and take ownership of the customer experience, we want to hear from you. What You'll Do Serve as the primary contact for customers seeking service and repairs. Listen to customer concerns and create clear, accurate repair orders. Prepare estimates, explain recommended repairs and maintenance, and document customer approval before work begins. Coordinate with technicians, shop leadership, and the parts department to keep jobs moving. Keep customers informed about repair progress, costs, and expected completion dates. Communicate promptly when those expectations change. Track open repair orders and follow up on parts, customer approvals, and unfinished work. Review completed repair orders for accuracy and prepare customer invoices. Recommend appropriate maintenance and services based on each customer's needs. Follow up after service to confirm customer satisfaction and help resolve outstanding concerns. What We're Looking For Previous service writer or service advisor experience is required. Experience in an automotive, truck, bus, or fleet repair environment. A solid understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair terminology. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities. Professional phone, email, and customer service skills. Attention to detail when preparing estimates, repair orders, and invoices. Confidence using service management software and standard computer applications. Dependability, teamwork, and a commitment to following through. Bus or commercial vehicle experience is a strong plus. Pay:
$55,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
