Job Description

Position Summary The Team Lead will assist in overseeing assigned shifts, support team members, and help carry out daily operational needs. This position is ideal for someone with hospitality experience, leadership potential, POS knowledge, serving experience, and the ability to support both café and lounge service. This person must be dependable, flexible, service-oriented, and willing to be trained in the full operation, including coffee service, bar support, food service, serving procedures, POS procedures, and guest experience standards. Key Responsibilities Lead by example and provide excellent customer service Assist in overseeing assigned shifts to help ensure smooth service and team accountability Support baristas, bartenders, servers, cashiers, and service staff during assigned shifts Greet guests warmly and assist with seating, serving, food running, beverage service, and guest needs as assigned Operate the POS system accurately, including entering orders, processing payments, applying authorized discounts, and closing checks Assist with cash handling, drawer accountability, and shift closeout procedures as directed Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures Ensure food and beverage items are served according to company standards Assist with light food preparation, packaging, plating, and service as needed Monitor guest flow and assist during busy periods Help maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness throughout the café, bar, lounge, kitchen, and service areas Support basic inventory, restocking, and supply needs Assist with opening, closing, and shift transition duties Help ensure staff are following service standards, recipes, food handling procedures, POS procedures, and company policies Communicate shift updates, guest concerns, staffing needs, and operational issues to management Assist with training new team members as needed Help maintain a positive, professional, and team-centered work environment Qualifications Previous hospitality, restaurant, café, bar, or customer service experience preferred Previous serving experience preferred POS system knowledge or willingness to be trained required Basic food handling knowledge required; food handler certification is a plus Some leadership, supervisory, or shift lead experience is preferred Strong communication and problem-solving skills Dependable, punctual, and professional Flexible and willing to assist wherever needed Eager to learn, grow, and be coached Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and rotating shifts Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment Must meet legal age requirements if assisting with alcohol service Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a natural leader, team player, and problem-solver who understands the importance of hospitality, guest service, food safety, POS accuracy, and team accountability. This person should be willing to be trained, coached, and developed according to the service standards of a growing coffee shop, bar, and lounge operation. Pay:
