POSITION SUMMARY
We are currently recruiting for a Customer Service Representative . This full-time, on-site position is located in Tahlequah, OK and pays $17.25 per hour . The Customer Service Representative serves as a first point of contact for customers seeking employment, training, and supportive services . The position assists customers with accessing resources, identifying needs and barriers, making appropriate referrals, facilitating training sessions, assisting with job-search tools and state systems, coordinating training logistics, and maintaining accurate records. The role requires strong customer service, communication, training and public-speaking skills , as well as the ability to work effectively with diverse populations and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking Workforce Center services. Provide basic information and direct customers to appropriate destinations, services, and resources in a timely and efficient manner. Understand basic operational processes and proactively anticipate the services customers may need. Assist customers in accessing resources to secure employment, training, or supportive services to attain self-sufficiency. Identify the unique needs and barriers of customers and make appropriate referrals to workshops, assessments, and internal programs. Maintain an environment of inclusion and ensure equitable access to services for individuals regardless of their needs or barriers. Assist customers in accessing websites, state systems, labor market information, job-search resources, and other tools for developing job leads. Facilitate training sessions in various classroom formats using relevant training materials and a variety of media. Select or develop appropriate teaching aids to address the individual needs of learners. Create or modify training materials and develop practical application exercises as appropriate. Organize training venues, logistics, schedules, and accommodations. Maintain accurate records, including training schedules, attendance, and required system documentation. Provide responsive and professional customer service while addressing questions, concerns, and barriers. Follow applicable Workforce Service programs, policies, procedures, and requirements. Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong listening, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Strong customer service orientation. Proficient computer skills and ability to navigate websites, databases, and state systems. Ability to create or modify training materials and develop practical application exercises preferred. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to handle stressful situations professionally and effectively. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively as part of a team. Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with varying needs or barriers. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, or a related field , or equivalent relevant experience required. Minimum of two years of customer service experience required. Minimum of two years of experience in training and public speaking for diverse audiences required. Workforce Service experience or demonstrated ability to serve diverse populations required. Working knowledge of Workforce Service programs required. Familiarity with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations preferred. Valid driver's license and adequate vehicle insurance coverage required. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout the workplace as required. Ability to facilitate classroom and training sessions. Ability to use a computer and other office equipment for extended periods. Ability to organize and set up training venues and materials. Ability to perform duties in a fast-paced environment that may require extended periods of standing, sitting, or moving between work areas.
