About Us:
At Hartmann Motors, we specialize in the highest level of service and repair for European vehicles (Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Volkswagen, Audi, and Mini). We have built our reputation on trust, technical expertise, and doing the right thing for our customers. We are currently looking for a Service Writer who shares our core values: high integrity, exceptional communication, and a genuine drive to help people rather than just make a sale.
The Role:

You will be the face and voice of the shop, translating complex technical findings from the back to our customers in the front. Our shop stays busy, which means you need a high capacity for juggling multiple tasks—answering phones, building estimates, sourcing parts, and updating clients—while maintaining a calm, professional, and friendly demeanor.
What You Will Do:
Greet customers warmly in person and provide exceptional service over the phone. Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues for the technicians. Translate technician diagnostics into clear, understandable, and prioritized estimates. Educate and advise customers on their vehicle's needs with complete honesty and transparency—helping them make informed decisions without high-pressure sales tactics. Manage workflow seamlessly between the technicians, parts suppliers, and customers. Keep your cool and maintain a positive attitude during high-volume rushes or unexpected daily challenges.

Integrity:
You care about doing what is right for the customer and building long-term relationships over short-term tickets.

You thrive in an environment with moving parts and can juggle multiple priorities without letting details slip through the cracks.

When the phones are ringing and the shop is full, you remain the calm, stabilizing force at the front counter.
An Exceptional Communicator:
You can explain complex mechanical issues clearly and empathetically to someone who knows nothing about cars.

Prior experience as a Service Writer and familiarity with European automotive brands is highly preferred.
