Village Threads | Sunriver, Oregon 25-32 Hours Per Week | Reports to Store Manager
ABOUT THE ROLE
Village Threads is a women's clothing boutique in the heart of Sunriver , serving visitors along with the wonderful community of people who call Sunriver home all or part of the year. Some customers we meet once while they're on vacation, and others we know by name and style season after season. We get to style them all! We're looking for a Customer Experience Lead to work side-by-side with our Store Manager and take ownership of the people and experience side of our store —team scheduling and communication, training, customer experience, store projects, and consistent follow-through.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
You don't necessarily need retail experience. We're looking for someone with leadership skills, incredible customer service instincts, and a genuine love of working with people. You may come from retail, hospitality, restaurants, education, management, events, or another people-focused environment. We can teach products and retail systems; we're looking for the leadership, warmth, initiative, and follow-through that are harder to teach.
Our ideal candidate:
Loves people and naturally creates a warm, welcoming experience. Has leadership experience and enjoys guiding and developing a team. Is organized, proactive, and comfortable managing schedules, projects, and details. Communicates clearly, kindly, and confidently. Enjoys fashion and helping women feel great in what they wear. Has weekend and holiday availability . Is comfortable with technology and able to learn our Point of Sale and inventory systems. Has working knowledge of email, Word, and Excel and ideally some Canva experience for simple in-store signage.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
People & Team Write and manage the employee schedule and be the primary contact for scheduling, coverage, and store projects. Partner with the Store Manager on hiring, onboarding, training, and employee development. Lead team communication, product education, sales meetings, daily checklists, and store standards. Customers & Experience Lead by example in creating an exceptional, personal customer experience. Build customer profiles and relationships and oversee special orders and follow-up. Help the team confidently style customers and make genuine product recommendations. Help plan customer events, promotions, and special experiences. Projects, Product & Inventory Manage store projects from communication through completion. Support freight processing, inventory accuracy, counts, and organization. Create SKUs, enter items, and assist with processing and receiving purchase orders as needed. Educate the team on new products, brands, fit, and styling. Support the Store Manager with floor resets, merchandising execution, and signage.
WORKING TOGETHER
The Store Manager leads the overall business, merchandising and floor strategy, inventory/product flow, visual direction, and store priorities. The Customer Experience Lead leads scheduling, day-to-day team communication, training, customer experience, store projects, special orders, events, and consistent execution. Together, they hire and develop the team, maintain store processes and standards, plan events and promotions, and partner on social media and weekly content.
SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Our team feels informed, supported, and confident. Our customers feel known, welcomed, and cared for. Projects get completed, details receive follow-through, and new product gets to the floor efficiently. Most importantly, you help make Village Threads a place where people love to shop and people love to work.
