Operate cash registers and Point of Sale (POS) systems accurately. Process transactions efficiently, including cash handling and credit card processing. Maintain knowledge of store products and promotions to effectively upsell and sell items. Assist customers with inquiries regarding products, services, and store policies. Handle returns and exchanges in accordance with company policy. Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and well-stocked. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance customer satisfaction. Utilize phone etiquette to assist customers over the phone when necessary. Experience Previous experience in a retail environment is preferred but not required. Bilingual skills are a plus, enhancing communication with a diverse customer base. Familiarity with retail math to accurately handle transactions and provide change. Experience operating cash registers or POS systems is advantageous. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers. Knowledge of grocery store operations is beneficial but not mandatory.
