Job Description

Hickory Pet Inn is a full service pet boarding and daycare facility dedicated to providing exceptional care for dogs and cats. We are seeking a professional, customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team. This role serves as the first and last points of contact for our clients and plays a vital role in ensuring a positive experience for both pet owners and their pets. The Customer Service Representative is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service while managing front desk operations in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and knowledgeable about basic pet care and vaccination requirements for dogs and cats. Key Responsibilities Greet clients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner. Answer and direct incoming phone calls while providing accurate information regarding services, policies, and reservations. Manage appointment scheduling, boarding reservations, and client communications. Maintain accurate client and pet records using computer-based management systems. Process payments and assist with administrative and clerical tasks. Communicate boarding, daycare, and vaccination requirements to clients. Coordinate effectively with pet care and veterinary staff to ensure seamless operations. Handle multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service. Support daily front desk operations and contribute to a positive team environment.
Qualifications Required:
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong computer proficiency and ability to learn new software systems. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Dependable, punctual, and capable of working independently and collaboratively. Availability to work weekends and flexible scheduling as needed. Working knowledge of pet care, including basic canine and feline vaccination requirements.
Preferred:
Previous reception, customer service, or administrative experience in a veterinary clinic, animal shelter, boarding facility, or related pet care environment. Familiarity with canine and feline vaccine protocols and industry best practices.
