Job Description

Buyer/Customer Service Specialist $63 - $68k Exempt SoPark Corporation, a contract electronics service provider supplying OEM's with printed circuit board and electromechanical assemblies, is looking for an experienced Buyer/Customer Service Specialist to work with several divisions of the company to maintain production and quality by ensuring that customers are treated with respect, orders are followed through in a timely fashion, and that each piece that goes into an order is purchased following the SoPark quality and ISO standards.
Position Summary:
The ideal candidate will be accountable for the development and maintenance of a material plan in support of customer requirements and company objectives. This includes the planning and scheduling of manufactured/purchased parts, monitoring and reporting part availability/building status of customer orders/interfacing with various teams to ensure maximum productivity and quality while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Communicates with customers via email, phone or in person and manages orders for product. Keeps customers informed regarding status of production orders. Addresses complaints concerning billing or product, refers complaints to appropriate departments for follow up, and makes adjustments as necessary. Sourcing suppliers based on price, availability, necessity, quality and logistical expenses. Identifies and implements ideas for performance improvement, cost savings and supplier/supply strategy. Negotiating sale agreements and supply contracts in ways that benefit their company. Monitor supplier performance metrics and resolve escalated supply or quality concerns Set up and maintains safety stock and reorder quantities on our MRP software system. Review MRP system to release or reschedule materials as required. Perform critical internal and external expediting. Review BOM's, and ECO's to determine purchasing actions as necessary. Approving invoices for payments as required Assist the Sales and Quoting Department to follow up on quotes and secure purchase orders for long lead parts or material authorization purchase orders Manage new assemblies and communicate to other departments; Purchasing, Production, Customer Service, Quoting, and Engineering all steps taken already and necessary steps to be taken Manage the excess inventory for new assemblies. Education and/or
Experience:
Associates degree or better in business from an accredited college or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
