Job Description
Come work for a community minded non-profit organization with the mission to prevent damage to underground facilities and protect the public. We are committed to growing and fostering a culture of safety throughout the state. The organization is the link between a person digging in the ground and the underground utility operators/owners. UDig NY, Inc. is seeking Remote Damage Prevention Representatives to join our Contact Center Team. While this is a work from home position, applicants must reside in Central New York and be able to report to our East Syracuse office if needed due to equipment issues.
Position details:
Seasonal Part Time:
Four to five hour shifts, 20- 25 hours per week through October Shifts range: Currently Monday through Friday 1 pm
- 5 pm however availability is required within the 7 am
- 5 pm range.
Home Support:
Company provided laptop Up to $50 / month reimbursement for home internet services High speed home internet service required Remote work with required ability to report onsite when necessaryJob Description:
Damage Prevention Representatives answer a high volume of incoming calls from excavators, homeowners and facility operators planning excavation projects. The representatives will respond to inquiries and ensure the accuracy of location information that is forwarded to underground utility operators/owners. UDig NY, Inc. is a 24/7 Contact Center. Training will be conducted virtually via Microsoft Teams.Qualifications and Requirements:
Excellent customer service skills with strong attention to detail Clear, confident verbal communication skills Strong listening and comprehension skills Ability to read & interpret policies, procedures, application materials and maps Critical thinking and problem solving Strong written communication skills Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software Ability to work independently or part of a team with minimal supervision Ability to type 50 words per minute Preferred- at least 2 years of call center/customer service experience with one employer Familiarity with Microsoft Teams is a plus High School diploma or equivalent Selected applicants will take a skills assessment test.
Salary:
