We are currently seeking a poised and high-energy professional to join our team as a Customer Service Representative in the Elmhurst, IL Area.

- Position summary: This position is responsible for, but not limited to, taking and shipping orders, corresponding with customers, maintaining accurate customer order records, processing invoice-related matters, and performing any other tasks and responsibilities as requested by
Management:
Provides Customer Service. Process and expedite shipments in an efficient, accurate, and timely manner, in accordance with company policy, SOP, and management directive. Correspond directly with customers on the phone, email, and website. Receive orders and issue quotes for International, Domestic, Air, Ground, and Ocean cargo. Follow-up on quotes and other sales leads promptly. Liaise between customers, freight carriers, and the shipping department. Monitor freight movement and tracing missing shipments. Performs Administrative Functions. Prepare and maintain appropriate records and files for client orders. Enter data into databases to create invoices. Initiate orders with distributors. Create bills of lading as necessary and maintain delivery schedules. Create weekly update reports on delivery status and problems with orders and shipments. Report delivery data and other shipping information. Manage inventory and record-keeping.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.) One (1) year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Excellent communication skill Ability to effectively respond to questions from Management, Staff, clients, and the general public in English and in Japanese Business level English and Japanese (reading and writing for both) Excel skill (ability to create basic formulas) Proficient utilization of Microsoft word and email Must be tactful, mature, flexible, and able to successfully respond to multiple work pressures, adaptable and able to think and act quickly to changing circumstances. Must be legally authorized to work in the US.
