Job Description

Job Title:
Customer Service Representative Job Description This hybrid call center position serves as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, order processing, and coordination of customer service needs with other internal functions. The role focuses on handling customer communications related to ordering, scheduling, and shipping, while ensuring accurate and timely entry of information into the order fulfillment system. The Customer Service Representative supports customers through multiple channels and helps resolve issues related to product availability and service requests. Responsibilities Serve as the primary contact for customers by telephone, fax, and web regarding ordering, scheduling, and shipping of products and services. Receive and process product and service orders, obtain necessary usage information, and accurately enter sales order data and service calls into the order fulfillment system. Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries, questions, complaints, and requests, resolving routine and some non-routine issues. Investigate and help resolve problems related to shipment of products, issuance of credits, and processing of new orders. Obtain detailed information on product type, quantities, and stock on hand through the ordering process to support accurate order fulfillment. Expedite orders when needed and initiate actions to replenish stock to meet customer needs and maintain service levels. Set up new customer accounts, maintain customer records, and ensure data accuracy in relevant systems. Prepare required reports and documentation related to customer orders, account activity, and service issues. Perform other related duties as assigned to support overall customer service and call center operations. Essential Skills Demonstrated experience in customer service, preferably in a call center or high-volume customer contact environment. Ability to handle customer interactions professionally via telephone, fax, and web-based channels. Strong attention to detail and accuracy when entering data into order fulfillment or similar systems. Ability to investigate and resolve routine and some non-routine customer issues related to orders, shipments, and credits. Solid organizational skills to manage multiple customer requests, orders, and follow-ups simultaneously. Clear verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with customers and internal teams. Basic proficiency with computer systems and the ability to learn and use order entry or fulfillment software. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working with order fulfillment systems or similar business applications. Familiarity with product ordering, scheduling, shipping processes, and stock replenishment procedures. Experience setting up new customer accounts and maintaining customer records. Ability to prepare basic reports related to customer orders and service activities. Flexibility to perform additional duties as assigned to support team and business needs. Work Environment This role is based in a call center environment with a hybrid work arrangement, typically requiring three days onsite and two days remote each week. Work hours follow a rotating schedule that may include shifts such as 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The position involves frequent use of telephones, fax machines, and computer systems for order entry and customer communication. The environment is fast-paced and customer-focused, requiring consistent, professional interaction with customers and coordination with internal teams. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Batesville, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
