Job Title:
DMV Clerk | Onsite- Gainesville, VA | $18-20/hr Job Description The Internal Operations Specialist will be assigned to a specific team, such as titling & registration, storage, or maintenance. This role is responsible for advancing order flow, answering questions from customers and internal staff, and removing roadblocks on orders. The position involves gathering pertinent data points for orders, communicating with customers and vendors by phone and email, establishing strong relationships with customer contacts and vendors, conducting quality checks, dispatching to the correct entity for movement, assessing vehicle condition, managing all repairs, understanding titling and registration functions, and assisting with additional tasks as deemed necessary by management. This role functions during core business hours and allows for remote work in accordance with the Telecommuting Agreement. Responsibilities Effectively manage direct communication with customers, including fleet management companies and their clients. Manage details of each request, ensuring full understanding of customer requirements. Address questions and offer solutions to customers, using sound judgment to resolve issues and reduce delays. Monitor and manage team dashboard to keep orders moving. Participate in all order phases to ensure customer satisfaction. Negotiate transportation, registration, and repair issues and solutions with customers. Organize daily activities to ensure completion through provided tools, responding to emails within 4 hours. Develop professional working relationships with clients, field offices, co-workers, and vendors. Complete all assignments necessary to advance daily business needs and operations. Demonstrate ability to perform activities inherent to the department's responsibilities. Conform with all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions. Provide special project support to all departments within the organization. Essential Skills 1+ year of customer service experience, preferably in a dealership environment. Strong Microsoft Office Excel skills and data entry skills, with a typing speed of at least 37 WPM. Strong communication skills, both writing and speaking, with attention to detail. Experience in call centers, logistics, dispatching, and transportation management. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word). Fast-paced work environment adaptability. Customer service background; call center experience is a plus. Work Environment This is a fully on-site position for the DMV team, located in a cubicle environment at headquarters, with satellite offices throughout the nation. The role operates Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, with weekends off. The family work environment allows for close collaboration with seniors and leadership, providing opportunities for growth within one of the fastest-growing fleet transport companies. The current team consists of 11 people across five different teams, with plans to expand to 25 people. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gainesville, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
