Job Description

Our people are the heart of our business. Come join our team! This position is eligible for a $1,500 sign-on retention bonus! Bodycote offers paid holidays and paid time off, as well as 401k match, Medical, Dental, and Vision Plans for employees and families. Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen and basic physical; have the ability to work full-time, 40+ hours per week. The hours for this position are Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm. Due to the nature of our business and a heavy industrial market, Bodycote deems this position to be safety-sensitive.
Summary:
Based in Fountain Inn SC, the Customer Service Representative works with limited supervision for the Production Manager. They are responsible for order entry, follow-up, status, invoicing and other daily communication with customers in coordination with sales and other staff. Essential Job Functions (Duties and Responsibilities): The primary duties consist of, but are not limited to the following. Enters customer orders in computer, assuring information is accurate Reviews Purchase Orders and contracts with discrepancies and follows up with clarifications via phone, email or other communication Responsible for customer order follow-up and status Responsible for helping with daily invoicing and sending invoices to customers Daily Scanning of Job Packages Work with account manager's to ensure quotes are current and up to date Assists with scheduling as needed/required Assists with customer collections and Elevates as Needed Promotes and practices safety and good housekeeping Performs other tasks as assigned or dictated by position May have access to proprietary and third party information necessary to the business and as such will perform duties in an ethical and professional manner. This position is responsible for the care and treatment of our customer's inventory and as such will perform duties in a safe and responsible manner to prevent customer loss or damage. Must have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand and follow rules and procedures and accept constructive criticism May have access to compensation information of other employees or applicants in this role and as such cannot disclose the pay of other employees or applicants to other individuals.

  • High school diploma or equivalent Minimum one year experience in customer service or related position Experience with Navision, Sales Force and SAP software a plus Experience with customer portals a plus (Ariba, IOL Online, etc) Requires knowledge of computer applications and good understanding of basic math Must demonstrate the ability to read, write and communicate the English language Knowledge and hands on experience of computer applications including Microsoft Office and databases is required
Physical & Mental Demands:
The following physical and mental demands consist of, but are not limited to the following. Must be able to work in a sitting or standing position for extended periods of time in an office/industrial environment Manual dexterity to perform data entry functions Ability to bend, pull, and reach to perform functions Ability to lift 35 lbs.
