Service Advisor / Writer

Thrasher Motorsports / Upstate Forklift is an established independent repair facility serving passenger vehicles, diesel trucks, commercial fleets, and material handling equipment. We are growing and looking for a Service Advisor who can lead the front of the shop with professionalism, confidence, and accountability. This is not an order-taker position. This role is responsible for customer communication, workflow coordination, and helping drive the performance of the entire service department. Primary Responsibilities Greet customers and build long-term relationships Accurately write repair orders and document customer concerns Communicate clearly between technicians and customers Present estimates confidently and explain needed repairs Follow up on approvals, parts status, and vehicle completion Manage scheduling and maintain steady shop workflow Handle warranty claims and fleet accounts when applicable Maintain high standards of customer service and organization What We're Looking For Proven experience as a Service Advisor (automotive, diesel, or equipment industry preferred) Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues in clear terms Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple jobs at once Comfortable discussing pricing and closing repair recommendations Leadership mindset with the ability to support and motivate technicians Professional appearance and attitude Valid driver's license Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay Paid holidays and vacation Growth opportunities within a growing company Stable, established shop environment About Us Thrasher Motorsports / Upstate Forklift is built on quality workmanship, accountability, and pride in what we do.
