Job Description
Description of Responsibilities The Client Specialist shall have knowledge of and follow the standing operating procedures for Harbor Hub Services. In addition, knowledge of the workflow for all client services including, but not limited to, payor processes and patient assistance processes at Harbor Hub Services. Finally, may have input regarding all non-marketing communication functions at Harbor Hub Services. Responsibilities of the Client Specialist include the following: Demonstrates a knowledge regarding processing benefit investigations, prior authorizations, patient assistance programs, and appeal processes. Ability to submit an average of 5 to 8 accurate and complete authorizations per hour. Demonstrates the highest communications standards. These standards shall include, but are not limited to, applicable verbal, written, and electronic communication and documentation. Further, the client specialist will ensure a positive attitude and achieve brand consistency internally and promote a positive public image externally among Harbor Hub Services key constituencies. Standards shall be adaptable to the daily ebb and flow, but shall reflect excellence throughout the process. Demonstrates a positive team spirit and balances assignments to achieve department goals. Positive coordination with all clients should be expected and is required. Reporting to the partners or their designee in a prompt, efficient manner with the proper disposition. This may include participation in routine management meetings, training oversight, reporting, and coordination with other departments or personnel. Other projects, activities, or responsibilities assigned at the discretion of the partners or their designee. Minimum Qualifications Minimum three years experience in a health-care setting is preferred. Experience with prior authorizations, Cover My Meds, and Rx Lightning preferred. Computer skills that include word processing, and efficient use of the internet and e-mail. Excellent communications skills. Physical Requirements The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions in this job description: The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit, as well as talk and hear. Good hand-eye coordination and the ability to lift up to at least 25 pounds.
