DESCRIPTION & DUTIES

Summary:

Manage front desk operations, provide exceptional guest service, handle reservations and financial transactions, and ensure smooth communication between guests, housekeeping, and maintenance staff.

Essential Duties:

Process guest check-ins/check-outs, room reservations, requests, changes, and cancellations in a friendly and responsive manner.

Secure payment, verify billing and customer credit, compute bills, collect payments, and make change.

Issue room keys, explain room features, and provide information regarding property amenities, services, hours, and local areas of interest.

Run reports for room availability, inventory management, and guest accounts; post payments to guest folios.

Respond to guest comments, complaints, or inquiries, referring customers to the General Manager as necessary.

Contact housekeeping or maintenance staff when guests report issues and assist with laundry room duties (loading/unloading washers and dryers, folding linens) as needed.

Maintain cleanliness in the lobby area, entrance doors, sidewalks, and emergency exits.

Know and property emergency procedures in a timely manner (police, fire, weather, utility outages).

Notify management of any needed repairs and adhere to appropriate dress code and professional standards.
