Duties Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process transactions, returns, and exchanges Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and assist with product information or demos when needed Handle cash, credit cards, and other payment methods with precision and integrity Maintain clean and organized checkout areas, ensuring merchandise is well-stocked and properly displayed Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance customer satisfaction and sales performance Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries professionally via phone or in person Support merchandising efforts by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and managing inventory levels Experience Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math to handle transactions confidently Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customers effectively Supervising experience is advantageous for those interested in leadership opportunities within the team Ability to demonstrate product features through demos to engage customers and boost sales Knowledge of grocery store operations including stocking, merchandising, and inventory management Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to create positive interactions at all touchpoints This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to develop their retail expertise while delivering outstanding service.
