As we continue to grow we are adding a new position that combines both driver management as well as customer service. Our fast paced environment necessitates motor carrier experience.
CSR :
Oversee all aspects of high volume accounts relating to the transportation of goods and the maintenance of the customer's needs. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values. The Customer Service Rep is at the center of an unpredictable, deadline-driven environment. Our customers require individuals who think on both a detailed and big picture scale, and who are capable of making appropriate decisions "on the fly."
CSR Description:
Trace and track customer's freight. Maintain contact with customers to ensure shipper and consignees are aware of any problems. Responsible for processing pick-up and delivery requests and entering data in the system. Respond to and handle all daily customer service requests. Notify customers of any delays in shipping and dispatching points. Prepare and assist with quotes for customers. Escalate matters impacting on-time delivery to appropriate managers as they occur Perform other duties as assigned.
Applicant:
Minimum 2 years' experience managing high volume customer accounts in a Transportation or Logistics setting Highly organized and communicative Work week will be Monday through Friday, and you must be able to weekends as needed Ability to perform in a deadline-driven environment with rapidly changing priorities High degree of initiative and independent execution Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required; some familiarity with McLeod Software operating system is ideal but not required. Ability to handle high volumes of inbound email The successful candidate must understand policies, procedures, instructions, business objectives and applicable statues regulating the trucking industry.
