Responsibilities Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process sales and line server. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and offering product recommendations. Conduct food samples when needed to customers. Handle cash transactions with accuracy, including cash handling and basic math calculations. Upsell products and promote store promotions to enhance sales opportunities. Maintain excellent phone etiquette when communicating with customers or vendors over the phone. Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and assisting with restocking efforts. Engage in retail math calculations for pricing, discounts, and sales totals. Foster a positive consumer experience through clear communication and friendly interactions. Requirements Previous cashiering experience or familiarity with POS systems is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone. Bilingual abilities are a plus, especially in serving diverse customer bases. Experience in supervising or leading team members is advantageous but not required. Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail sales environments is beneficial. Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and sales calculations. Demonstrated merchandising, stocking, and product demonstration skills preferred. Excellent communication skills with a professional phone etiquette.
