Job Description
Job Summary :
The Agency Relations Assistant will be responsible for ensuring excellent customer service to SPFB's partner agencies and programs, through collaboration with all food bank team membersDuties/Responsibilities :
Assist in the training and monitoring of food bank agencies, maintaining necessary information in agency files. Keeps current on Feeding America requirements, including current standards for serving all counties in the South Plains Food Bank's Service area. Assist in setting up agency accounts to include training, technical support, orders and invoices. Provide excellent customer service by fielding agency requests and questions pertaining to compliance, product orders, accessing other programs, credit and accounts receivable issues. Regularly captures neighbor feedback and integrates into operations to improve customer service, experience and impact on the community. Assist in creating, developing, and maintaining training guides and procedures as it pertains to agency support. Assist in monitoring inventory availability for electronic Shopping lists. Responsible for the review, processing, preparing, and release of agency orders for warehouse pulling. Assist agencies when picking up orders if warehouse staff are unavailable. Assist in scheduling pickups and deliveries and adhere to the monthly delivery calendar. Process agency distribution daily. Transition record storage to digital format and create timetable for destruction. Work closely with the Warehouse to ensure relationships are cultivated and retained. Performs other duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities :
Education :
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required in related field preferred; may be replaced with comparable experience.Experience :
- At least 2 years in customer service.
- Bilingual—(English/Spanish) preferred.
Skills :
- Proficient with computers and Basic knowledge of database reporting; Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision.
- Ability to juggle and adapt to multiple projects with attention to detail and accuracy while adhering to deadlines in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
- Strong ethical character capable of exercising good judgment and discretion and handling confidential information.
- Committed to the organizational mission of ending hunger.
- Must pass a Background Check and drug screening.
- Must have a valid Texas Driver's License and an acceptable driving record to meet insurance recommendations.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings when necessary.
- Availability to staff outreach events with limited notice after 5pm and weekends.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
- Ability to drive a forklift or willingness to learn.
