Duties Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently to process sales transactions accurately and quickly Handle cash register operations, including cash drawer handling, cash handling, and balancing registers at shift end Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries Upsell products and promote store specials or promotions to enhance sales opportunities Conduct product demos when necessary to educate customers about featured items or new arrivals Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, restocking supplies and merchandising as needed Assist with stocking shelves and organizing merchandise to support overall store presentation Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or directing calls within the store Requirements Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred; familiarity with retail math and cash register operations is a plus Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer needs Demonstrated proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math for accurate transactions Experience with cashiering duties including balancing cash drawers and managing retail sales transactions efficiently Knowledge of retail store product lines, merchandising techniques, and inventory management practices Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to handle inquiries professionally and courteously Supervising experience or leadership skills are advantageous for supporting team operations and training new employees Ability to stand for extended periods, lift merchandise as needed, and work flexible hours including weekends or evenings Embark on a rewarding journey where your energy fuels positive shopping experiences!
