Loudoun County's Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services is searching for qualified individuals for the full-time Customer Service Specialist role. Following the directives of the designated supervisor, the individual is tasked with providing customer service and administrative support for the assigned department. This role is centered on providing services, information, and support to the public, while also managing daily tasks such as handling mail, phone communications, filing, registration, fee collection, counter assistance, and data entry administrative functions for the designated department. We are currently hiring for the following location(s):
  • Ashburn Senior Center, Ashburn, VA Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Delivers polite and prompt customer service to County personnel, vendors, residents, and other visitors; directs customers to the relevant staff members.
  • Oversees the management and documentation of participant files and records as needed for program oversight and review.
  • Administers phone communications in the office setting.
  • Responsible for coordinating bookings and handling the operational aspects of the conference room.
  • Other essential duties related to the specific role and department assignment may also be performed.
Hiring salary is commensurate with experience. High School diploma or equivalent; one (1) year of related work experience in a clerical position involving contact with the public and working with automated systems; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with older adults.
  • ServSafe certification.
  • Bilingual.
Must undergo criminal, credit, and DMV background checks. A valid driver's license and good driving record are required. Annual reviews of driving records may be conducted to ensure ongoing qualification.
