Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Cashier/Customer Service Associate, where you will be the friendly face that welcomes customers and ensures they have a positive experience. This role combines efficient cash handling, food service, and exceptional customer support in a fast-paced environment. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a lively atmosphere while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and service excellence. Whether assisting with food preparation or ringing up sales, you will play a vital role in delivering outstanding service and supporting the smooth operation of our café or retail setting. Duties Greet customers warmly, provide friendly assistance, and answer questions about menu items or products Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions accurately and efficiently Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cash handling duties with precision and integrity Prepare simple food items, assist with food preparation, and ensure food safety standards are met Upsell menu items or products to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food prep areas, counters, and dining spaces in accordance with health regulations Manage food handling responsibilities including serving, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff when needed Qualifications Prior experience in food service, quick service restaurants, or retail environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and transaction accuracy Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while managing time effectively Experience with cashiering, serving, bussing tables, or working in a café or grocery store environment is advantageous Join us to be part of an energetic team dedicated to delivering exceptional service through vibrant teamwork and a passion for the food industry.
