Responsibilities Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process transactions quickly and efficiently. Greet customers warmly, offering assistance with product questions and store navigation. Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments with precision, maintaining accurate cash handling procedures. Upsell products by recommending additional items or services that enhance customer satisfaction. Conduct product demos when appropriate to showcase features and benefits to customers. Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented. Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely. Assist in inventory management through stocking and merchandising efforts to keep the store inviting and organized. Support customers with basic retail math calculations for discounts or promotions as needed. Promote a positive shopping experience through clear communication skills and proactive customer engagement. Qualifications Prior cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential. Bilingual abilities are a plus, enabling effective communication with diverse customer groups. Strong communication skills with an emphasis on friendly, professional interaction both in person and over the phone. Basic math skills necessary for cash handling, giving correct change, and processing transactions accurately. Experience with POS systems or familiarity with retail sales technology is advantageous. Supervising experience is beneficial for those interested in growth opportunities within the team.
