Well-established Transportation Company is seeking an individual to fill a Service Writer position in our Parts Department. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team! Service Writer Responsibilities include but are not limited to: managing the workflow within the shop by working with drivers and Maintenance Team Leaders to schedule equipment for repair. This person is responsible for scheduling. ordering parts, inventory control, opening and closing repair orders and purchase orders. The Service Writer is responsible for ensuring proper data integrity is maintained throughout the shop and the RO's are properly filled in prior to processing. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. Job Requirements The ideal candidate will have a mechanical understanding of trucks and trailers as well as good computer skills and be able to develop and maintain rapport with employees, and management. Hours of employment are Monday-Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and every other Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. We offer an excellent benefit package which includes paid holidays, paid vacation, health dental/vision, short term disability, life insurance, profit sharing and employer matched 401K .
