2015 and CE Category III standards. In addition to our cryogenic PPE line, Tempshield also manufactures Mainers, a consumer winter glove and mitten brand launched in 2020: www.mymainers.com. Tempshield is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented team member who takes pride in quality workmanship and wants to contribute to products that protect people in demanding environments. About the Position The Cutter is responsible for preparing, inspecting, cutting, bundling, and labeling materials used in the production of Tempshield cryogenic gloves, mitts, apparel, and Mainers winter gloves and mittens. This is a year-round, full-time position working Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tempshield off ers competitive compensation and excellent benefi ts, including paid time off , retirement plan benefi ts, health insurance, and life insurance. General Production Responsibilities- Plan, prioritize, and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area
- Use basic computer skills, including email, fi le management, and production-related documentation in Google Workspace Material Handling and Inventory Support
- Receive, move, organize, and store materials used in production
- Safely transport materials to and from production areas
- Maintain organization of raw materials, cut parts, and production supplies
- Inventory tracking Material and Part Inspection
- Visually inspect materials, fabric, and cut parts for defects, damage, inconsistencies, or quality concerns
- Mark and record material defects according to established procedures
- Ensure materials and cut parts meet quality requirements before moving to the next stage of production Manual and Die Cutting
- Operate die presses to cut parts for glove, mitt, and apparel production
- Perform tabletop cutting using hand-operated equipment
- Perform hand cutting as needed
- Monitor cut quality throughout the cutting process
- Maintain safe operation of cutting tools and equipment
CNC Machine Cutting:
Laser Cutter and Autometrix Cutter- Set up and operate CNC cutting equipment, including the laser cutter and Autometrix cutter, according to specifi cations
- Select appropriate cutting programs and confi rm proper material layout before cutting
- Load and unload materials safely and effi ciently
- Adjust machine settings and cutting parameters as needed to achieve accurate cuts, optimize performance, and minimize waste
- Monitor machines during operation to ensure proper function, cut quality, and safe operation
- Report machine issues, irregularities, or maintenance needs promptly Forklift Operations
- Load, unload, and move materials using a pallet jack or forklift
- Place and retrieve materials from storage racks using a forklift
- Ensure materials are loaded, transported, and stored securely and safely
- Follow all applicable forklift safety procedures
- Perform required forklift safety inspections, maintenance checks, and basic care Equipment and Facility Maintenance
- Perform routine equipment maintenance as assigned
- Perform routine facility maintenance as assigned
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs
- Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or needed repairs Other Duties
- Perform other duties as assigned to support production and company operations Required Skills and Qualifi cations
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a production environment
- Basic computer skills, including email and fi le management
- Ability to stand for most of the workday
- Ability to lift and move 50+ lbs. as needed
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
- Forklift experience preferred; willingness to complete forklift training if required
- Previous cutting, manufacturing, textile, or production experience preferred but not required
