Category Nursing - RN - CVOR Job Type Contract An exciting opportunity is available for experienced Registered Nurses specializing in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) care. This contract assignment offers the chance to work in a prominent medical center recognized for its advanced cardiac surgical services. The hospital features over 1,000 beds, a 56-room operating suite (including both inpatient and outpatient facilities), and a Level 1 Trauma designation.

Schedule:

12-hour shifts, Monday through Friday (7:00 am - 7:00 pm); specific weekdays may vary based on department needs. Call is required for all cardiac surgery travelers—three layers of call coverage maintained 24/7, varying every six weeks. Flexibility is essential; block scheduling is not available.

Orientation dates:

June 1, June 22, June 29 (no orientation the weeks of June 8 or June 15).

Qualifications:

Active RN license and current

BLS/ACLS

certification required. At least 2 years of recent CVOR experience in a high-volume OR environment. Ability to scrub and circulate in complex cardiac surgeries (CABG, valve replacements, repeat cardiac procedures, ECMO, VAD, transplants, and cardiac trauma). Proven prior travel nursing experience mandatory. Comfortable working with adult patients—no pediatric component. Willingness to float within the operating room (but not other hospital locations). Adaptability for varying call/shift requirements, including weekends and overnight shifts.
