Operating Room RN in Mount Juliet, TN

Category Nursing - RN-Operating Room Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic surgical environment where your expertise in thoracic and vascular nursing is truly valued. As a skilled RN with operating room experience, you'll work within a large surgical team at a Level 1 trauma center, supporting a wide spectrum of advanced procedures—transplant, trauma/neuro, general, ortho, GYN, urology, ENT, plastics, cardiothoracic, vascular, and more.

Schedule:

12-hour shifts: Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 9:00 pm Schedule varies week to week based on unit needs Flexibility required; block scheduling not available Late stays may be required according to department demand

Key Qualifications:

Active RN license in Tennessee or a compact state (must be verified at submission) Certification specific to scrubbing/circulating roles (must be on file at submission) Minimum 2 years of recent operating room nursing experience Demonstrable thoracic/vascular OR proficiency Comfortable circulating and scrubbing, especially endovascular procedures Previous travel nursing experience is required Experience in a high-acuity/complex environment, preferably Level 1 trauma Ability to float between OR rooms as necessary Patient care involves adults only; pediatric cases are managed separately

Primary Responsibilities:

Serve as a pivotal member of the thoracic/vascular surgical team Participate in challenging cases, including robotic and hybrid procedures Maintain high standards of safety, precision, and patient advocacy during pre, intra, and post-operative phases Adapt to various case types and assist multiple surgical disciplines within a 56-room OR suite, including 5 specialized procedural rooms
