Cybersecurity Operations Lead Leidos Inc $107,900.00•$195,050.00 / yr United States, Maryland, Odenton May 15, 2026 Description Leidos is seeking a Cybersecurity Operations Lead to oversee two cybersecurity teams supporting the Defense Enclave Services (DES) program: an Identity Management team and a Software Auditing team. This role provides both technical and operational leadership across identity and access management, compliance auditing, platform security, and vulnerability remediation activities. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can effectively supervise personnel while also contributing directly to technical operations, audits, troubleshooting, and cybersecurity initiatives. An active Secret clearance or higher is required for consideration. Primary Responsibilities Lead and supervise Identity Management and Software Auditing teams supporting enterprise cybersecurity operations. Perform technical duties alongside team members, including IAM operations, software auditing, compliance validation, and remediation activities. Oversee Linux/Solaris platforms and directory services to ensure security, availability, and operational performance. Manage cybersecurity operations in alignment with
RMF, NIST
800-53, and DoD cybersecurity requirements. Conduct and oversee software and system auditing activities, including review of application configurations, access controls, patching, and secure configuration compliance. Support vulnerability management, audit readiness, and continuous process improvement initiatives. Basic Qualifications Active DoD Secret clearance or higher Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant cybersecurity experience (additional experience may substitute for degree). Active DoD IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+). Experience leading cybersecurity, IAM, or compliance/auditing teams. Strong knowledge of
RMF, NIST
800-53, vulnerability management, and compliance practices. Experience with Linux/Solaris administration and directory services. Strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with IAM/IdM platforms and cybersecurity tool integrations. Experience with software auditing, system hardening, and compliance validation. Relevant cybersecurity or IAM certifications. Experience supporting SailPoint or similar identity management implementations. If you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
