Position Overview Lindsay Corporation is seeking a Cycle Counting / Inventory Control Specialist to support inventory accuracy and material integrity across manufacturing and warehouse operations. This role is essential to ensuring reliable production schedules, accurate financial reporting, and strong customer service through disciplined inventory control and continuous improvement practices. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working across production, materials, and planning teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. What You'll Do Inventory Control & Cycle Counting Execute daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts according to established procedures Maintain inventory accuracy through reconciliation of physical counts to system records Investigate discrepancies, document findings, and process approved inventory adjustments Support annual physical inventories Analysis & Continuous Improvement Identify root causes of inventory variances related to receiving, production, storage, or data accuracy Partner with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventative actions Recommend improvements to inventory processes, material flow, and storage practices Participate in Lean, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives Collaboration & Communication Work closely with Production, Planning, Purchasing, and Shipping/Receiving teams Communicate inventory risks that may impact production or customer delivery Support accuracy of bills of material (BOMs), routings, and inventory locations Systems, Reporting & Compliance Use ERP/MRP systems to perform counts, investigate variances, and maintain records Prepare inventory accuracy reports and metrics Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and audit requirements What We're Looking For Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 2+ years of experience in inventory control, cycle counting, materials, or manufacturing operations Working knowledge of inventory control principles within a manufacturing or warehouse environment Experience using ERP/MRP systems Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic data analysis Preferred Qualifications Associate's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field Experience in discrete or engineered-to-order manufacturing Knowledge of ABC inventory classification Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles Experience supporting internal or external audits Skills & Attributes Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Analytical thinker with effective problem-solving capabilities Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams Clear and professional communication skills Comfortable working in both office and shop-floor environments Physical & Work Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. Willingness to work in manufacturing and warehouse environments with appropriate PPE Ability to attain sit-down/standup forklift licenses Benefits of working atLindsay Corporation:
