Job Description

Description:
The Cylinder Cell Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling composite cylinder cell components to precise specifications within the double insulation manufacturing segment. This role includes operating and maintaining specialized assembly equipment, performing quality inspections, following detailed work instructions, and ensuring all safety and environmental procedures are met. The technician will work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to meet production goals while ensuring product integrity and performance.
Requirements:
Duties & Responsibilities Set up and operate equipment used for assembling composite cylinder cells, including mandrel loading/unloading, adhesive application, winding/pressing operations, and curing stations. Follow detailed shop routers, job instruction breakdowns (JIBs), and work instructions to complete assemblies to exact tolerances. Handle and prepare raw materials (grease and lubricant) according to manufacturing and safety standards. Inspect parts and subassemblies for defects, proper alignment, and dimensional accuracy using precision measuring tools. Maintain accurate production and quality records; complete all required documentation per ISO 9001 and internal quality management procedures. Adhere to all safety protocols, including PPE requirements, lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, and safe handling of chemicals and adhesives. Perform routine equipment maintenance to ensure reliability. Collaborate with engineering and quality personnel to resolve production issues and implement process improvements. Monitor and achieve established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as production output, quality standards, efficiency, and safety compliance, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with company goals. Technical training or certification in manufacturing, composites, or related field preferred. Knowledge & Experience 1+ years of experience in composite manufacturing, assembly, or related production work preferred. Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions. Basic understanding of adhesive bonding, curing, and precision assembly processes. Skills & Abilities Good mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions. Capable of lifting and moving up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods of time. Frequently required to reach and use hands and arms continuously. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Shift:
Monday through Thursday 4:00pm - 2:00am EST Hours and shifts may vary depending on needs of the department.
