Job Description:
Data Center QA/QC Engineer - Mid Level Are you experienced in data center commissioning, MEP QA/QC, field engineering, commissioning, or construction quality roles? Do you enjoy being onsite ensuring mission-critical systems are built right the first time? We're hiring a mid-level Data Center QA/QC Engineer to execute the client's QA/QC program across L1-L5 commissioning levels (or as defined by project scope). This is a full-time, traveler position (40-50 hours/week; potential overtime) with expenses covered - projects located across the United States. Key Responsibilities Review MEP project drawings, approved submittals, and specifications as required.
Question for you:
How do you prioritize discrepancies found in drawings vs. submittals? Inspect incoming MEP equipment and complete receiving checklists in the project software platform.
Question for you:
What's your approach to handling an equipment delivery that fails inspection? Run preparatory phase meetings with subcontractors (when required) to confirm site readiness. Review MEP mockups for equipment/systems per specifications.
Question for you:
Describe a mockup review where you caught a critical issue before installation. Document and track QA/QC deliverables and test reports during L2-L3 (NETA, short circuit studies, torque/megger sheets, TAB, etc.). Ensure set-in-place inspection checklists are completed by JLL?SKAE and subs/vendors. Inspect for foreign object debris (FOD) inside MEP equipment when required. Perform final equipment inspections prior to L3 energization and verify all L3 deliverables including startup reports. Assist in developing Methods of Procedure (MOPs) for equipment and systems.

Have you authored or executed MOPs? one example of a risk you mitigated. Track and organize L1-L3 documentation in Procore or similar platforms. Record observations/issues during walkthroughs and manage timely closeout in the project software.

How do you ensure observations are tracked to completion with multiple subcontractors involved? Required Experience & Skills 3-5 years data center experience 2-5 years QA/QC experience OSHA-30 certification Procore experience; CxAlloy / Facilities Grid familiarity preferred Experience with MOP development, equipment startup & energization support Knowledge of NETA testing documentation, TAB, and short circuit study documentation Strong safety compliance and site safety awareness Construction drawing and submittal review capability Vendor/subcontractor coordination experience Field inspection and punch-list management Strong communication skills and self-starter attitude Ability to travel 50-75% Preferred / Nice to Have
